Starting Thursday, June 4, we'll be temporarily re-opening the market. We'll be here Thursdays and Friday in June from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m.-Noon. With great specials on ALL items, everything will be first come, first served.
We will also be adhering to social distancing recommendations, welcoming only 10 customers in the space at a time. We also ask that you please use our hand sanitizing stations. Thanks in advance for your cooperation! We can't wait to see you one last time!

To our family of customers,

With treasured memories but saddened hearts, we announce the permanent closing of The Cannery Public Market. Our Dad, John T. Pagel, was so excited to share with us his vision of what would soon be The Cannery. He even gave Jamie her own personalized hard hat for site tours. At the time, the space was nothing more than a cold, empty concrete building; but walking into it, dad’s eye lit up, like a kid in a candy store. Dad put his heart and soul into everything he did - especially the Cannery. He could envision the potential, hear the guests’ laughter, see their smiling faces while celebrating special moments, but most importantly, provide comfort in letting people know where their food comes from.
Months later, Dad’s dream was turned into a reality. It was such a beautiful and exciting time! From the first night our family shared dinner together at The Cannery, we knew it was a special place. Every time we would visit, the mouth-watering aroma, sight of colorful, fresh foods being prepared by the kitchen, and our welcoming staff always brought smiles to our faces. People talked about the struggles of finding quality employees because the restaurant industry was so competitive. We consider ourselves blessed because we were able to work with such a great team and wonderful general manager.
As we made the heart-wrenching decision to close, many questions ran through our heads. The hardest to answer? Why do we have to say yet another goodbye to something we love so dearly? Only God knows why. As one door closes, another will open. More life lessons will be learned, more memories will be made. Our family would like to thank all the employees for their hard work and dedication. You made our Dad’s dream a reality. To our guests, family and friends- thank you for supporting our family business and celebrating your precious moments with us. We will forever value the relationships that were built and cherish the many memories that were made within the barn walls of The Cannery.

We will miss you.
