As temperatures start to cool, here’s a reminder for outdoor events: your cake will be cooler and which is great for stability, but it can make cutting and serving a little more difficult.
Our buttercream is made with 100% butter, so just like butter straight from the refrigerator, it will be firm when cold and may crumble if not cut properly. For the best results, cakes are best cut and served at 68–85°F.
For clean, beautiful slices, use a sharp knife warmed in hot water. Wipe the knife clean between cuts and re-warm it as needed throughout the cutting process.
