RIP Hayden Pantierre, you were so young at 36, almost 37 this Friday. You had struggled with Mental Illness for so long. What the media focuses on is your “addiction “ and how often you “failed”. Let me set the record straight for those who judge. Often people with untreatable mental illnesses will self medicate. And yes there are times where there mental illness takes over and they no longer have the will to live. Let me point out some very talented people who decided to end their pain not because they were “crazy” but they felt there were no other options to stop the pain.

The list goes on. The people listed were well loved by the public and the public struggled to understand the why behind their decision.

I want to be indicatively clear. The fact that people still judge mental illness as a weakness is what is most destructive to those who suffer.

Be Kind Always.

You never know how your reaction affects others. You may think you’re not doing harm but often those who feel this way are the most offensive.

There will be a thousand times that your behavior is harmful without you knowing.
