Subsational has been a local favorite for years in the small town of Grass Valley, California. The community can always count on a delicious classic sub sandwich - fresh bread from local Dupree’s bakery; quality meats and cheeses; and fresh produce along with a friendly chat at the family business. n 1997 moved into the current location on South Auburn Street. In July 2017, cousins, Terri Alvarado and Dennae Cromer bought the business. Having both frequented the business for 20+ years, when they saw it for sale in the local paper they knew “it was meant to be (theirs)”. One of the first things people ask is. “Will you be keeping the menu the same?” Yes! They will be keeping all the favorites with a few additions and updates - think homemade deli salads and BBQ beef. The cousins will be opening early so customers can grab lunch for their workday along with a quick breakfast to start their morning. They hope to make this change in the next few months, but, rest assured, they will announce it! Until then, business will continue as usual and customers can drop in 10:30-6:00 any weekday or 10:30-5:00 on the weekend to continue enjoying the same quality subs they have come to know and love.
