We are passionate about coffee, and even more passionate about the experience and relationships that accompany coffee. Our inspiration for Roaming Goat came out of our love from building community. As we thought about our vision for Roaming Goat, we continually came back to our experiences with coffee and how many significant relationships have developed over a cup of coffee. We believe coffee sho

uld be intentional, so it's vital to us that the beans are grown and sourced inline with our moral beliefs. Every cup of coffee has a story. From farmer, to roaster, to consumer, and everyone in between. We know how difficult farm life can be sometimes, but also how rewarding it can be, so we aim to honor our connection with the farmers and roasters by creating a great cup of coffee to share with you. On our menu, you'll find simple, fresh, local foods, alongside out baked goods and value added items. We do our best to purchase from Michigan companies and source produce within 250 miles of Grass Lake. Why "Roaming Goat"? We tossed around a dozen names. They were all cool, but none of them "clicked". Finally we decided on this one:
Roaming= Our serious passion for travel, our love for a little bit of the chaotic, off the beaten path lifestyle. Goat= Respect to our farming roots and to honor my animal welfare background, which gave us my goats- Vanilla Ice + Chocolate Thunder! And let us not forget, goats discovered coffee!!

Hey all- MLive did it again with another weird article (remember when they called me TerriJo?)

MaryJane and I are so proud that we’ve created a business that has thrived through so many obstacles these last 7 years! We’re also ready to move onto the next chapters of our lives. We’re happy with our choice to sell and are excited that the building is under contract in less than two weeks.

We don’t have any additional information right now, but will share it with you as we have it.

For now, we’re good and happy to be able to pass our shop on to someone else so they can find all the joy and success we’ve found over the years. Make sure to stop by and see us soon, as we approach our final couple of weeks in the shop.
