A quick question for our Queen Anne’s County Residents. How would you feel if “Annie’s” opened up a smaller restaurant at “Hunter’s Oak”? It would also include weddings and business functions. we would take over the Manor House, the existing restaurant, coordinate hunting and any all activities that Hunter’s Oak can provide. But, the main focus would be getting Annie’s up and running again.

The closing of Annie’s certainly left an enormous void in our community. I see where several restaurants are trying to take bits and pieces of Annie’s menu and fit them into their menus. I take that as a compliment but, unfortunately the quality must go with it. Helen and I miss our business but above all, miss our guests. As of this moment we have not been able to secure a viable location nor a reasonable landlord. The quest continues.

It’s time to quash the rumors. Annie’s has had two oppotunities to seek out for our new location. The first was the Golden Corral in Easton and the second was in the shopping center near Cult Classic. Both of these potential property owners wanted extremely high rents and increases on a yearly basis. It did not make financial sense to try and achieve success at these locations. Everything favored the landlords. They too are in business and need to meet their obligations. So with this being said, we are still considering opening Annie’sbut must find the right location and partner. Our former landlords Meisel and Cohen were extremely wonderful to deal with at Mears Point. People that work together, are successful together. We always worked extremely well together with Mr. Meisel. Mr. Cohen and Bob Wilson. A testament to the overall success of Mears Point.
