This Christmas Season, Main Street did something a little different... and we aboslutely LOVE IT!
- No cars, no engine fumes, and no families getting increasingly more pi**ed off circling the block and fighting for a parking spot while yelling at their spouse, “JUST PARK RIGHT HERE!"
It's just been easy going groups of people that have seemed happier and nicer than those we’re used to seeing during this time of year.
As I took my daily walk this past Sunday, I noticed couples and families walking slower than usual - allowing their kids to zig-zag through Main Street like it was one big playground. Nobody was fighting for stroller space past the tables at Chez Fabien and groups of friends were calmly drifting shop to shop with no plan, no rush, and absolutely no intention of skipping food.
For a moment, Grapevine Main Street felt like it remembered what it was built for.
You could wander.
You could stop.
You could follow your nose… which, inconveniently, kept leading myself and others straight back to Sauce’d.
- Menus got picked up “just to look.”
- One order turned into two.
- “We’ll split something” turned into absolutely not splitting anything at all.
And then something wild happened the very next day -
We sold out.
ON A MONDAY.
Like, actually sold out.
Buns gone. Patties gone. All burgers... gone - not because of chaos—but because people stayed longer and ordered seconds.
They walked more, ate more and loved more.. they were now able to enjoy more.
And honestly? We loved it.
Today, we’re restocking, reprepping and planning for the week ahead with bigger numbers, fuller shelves, and a whole lot of gratitude - because this past weekend showed us what happens when Main Street slows down and lets people take over.
More footsteps.
More laughter.
and... More of Main Street GETTING SAUCE'D!
We’ll be ready this week.
You just keep wandering, keep exploring and keep enjoying Main Street! 🍔🍕🔥
Our truck should show up tomorrow morning, but if it doesn't we'll be out of burgers til about noon.
