Hey cluckers,
It's with extremely heavy hearts that we have to close down. When we moved to Oregon, we were so excited to build this truck and put all of ourselves into it from the building, to the logo, to our food names, to our socials. We wanted it to feel like you knew us through our food, to be as authentic as possible and we put our hearts in it. We have been very homesick for our family and friends in Colorado and Oregon has just mentally been tearing us down and apart. Running the truck has exacerbated a lot of that including physical issues.
Genuinely, all of you guys who've stopped by to eat food, the other food trucks and local businesses have been the best part of doing what we do and why we've tried to push ourselves for what feels like the forever that we have. We had events planned and we're so very sorry that we can't do them. We talked this over and over and over and trust that we wouldn't make this decision if we didnt feel it was absolutely necessary.
The hardest part for us is upsetting all of you who've supported us along the way, so we hope you can understand. We know that we're coming up to the seasons where we really should be operating and when we know we'd have opportunities. Unfortunately mental and physical health don't care about the time of year. Always put your happiness and health first if you have the privilege, it truly matters over everything. We hope this shows you can absolutely do anything you dream to do.
We're still alive, so if any of you want to reach out or say hi we're still here and around or maybe we all have a get together somewhere for beers. Especially our regulars and all the food trucks peeps who've helped us get events, given advice, or just sat with us in the mutual food truck understanding that only food truck owners know. However, we're working out some things for the future of our beloved chicken daddys truck, so we'll keep yall updated.
We love you all and appreciate every one of you, your belief in us and every moment of this experience. We know we had something special. It was an adventurous side quest and on to new adventures!
