MEET THE PILOTS!

Pilot Name: Mandy Johnson
Home: Prosser, WA
Balloon Name: Lindy
Sponsor: Prosser Memorial Health

Mandy is a Prosser-based pilot with more than 30 years of ballooning experience. An active local flight instructor and rally participant, she also serves as the FAA-certified Chief Inspector for Washington’s only certified hot air balloon repair station and represents Lindstrand Balloons as an authorized dealer.

When she isn’t flying or working on balloons, Mandy is dedicated to community aviation—crewing for local students and pilots, volunteering, creating new aviation events, and working alongside her pilot husband, Vic, and son, Andrew. She also loves sharing the skies with her children and grandchildren. Mandy is truly part of the fabric of ballooning in Prosser, and we’re excited to have her flying at this year’s rally!

Welcome Mandy and Lindy!
