For almost 10 years, The Candied Yam has given many young people a place to earn, learn, and grow. Some have stayed with us until college or trade school; others have taken different paths. We’re proud to be part of their journey.

We believe school comes first. Working alongside our young team members and their parents, we help teach lessons that go beyond the kitchen: showing up on time, communicating respectfully, working as a team, serving others, and learning to manage the money they earn - that’s a biggie!!!

Our youth deserve opportunities to discover what they’re capable of and people who believe in them along the way!
