Our ArtPrize artist, Arturo Morales Romero, had the opportunity to chat with WOOD TV8’s Tessa Kresch about his 2026 ArtPrize entry.❤️🎨

Hear Arturo share why he chose these iconic symbols, why he created his work entirely from beans and seeds, how the community can experience and participate in the exhibit, and the deeper connection between his art and Día de los Mu***os.

Voting for Arturo’s entry ends tomorrow, but his artwork will remain on display on the second floor of the Downtown Market through Día de los Mu***os on November 2.✨

Kelly created another unique painting with our teas when she was here Wednesday!

Painting with tea allows a natural, muted pallet allowing a translucent effect.

Tea also provides a safe water color for kids and even for dying Easter eggs! You can mix it with whipped cream for a fun game for kids too!

Kelly will be back tomorrow from 1pm-3pm to paint another piece! Make sure to stop by and say hi and see the possibilities!
