We’ve gotten some reviews saying our prices are high, so I want to be honest about why.

If we could charge less, we would. I have other income and barely pay myself from this café. I joke that it’s my nonprofit project!

Bankers and accountants have told me more than once to close because we don’t turn a big profit. But their definition of success isn’t the same as mine. Success to me is a space where people meet each other and feel safe and welcome. By that measure, we’re wildly successful.

Still, reviews implying we are price gouging hurt. So swipe through for numbers on where we actually stand and what we’re doing to avoid raising prices again. And please keep supporting local shops so we don’t all end up in corporate hell.
Love you all!
Lori

⚠️Heads up! Our patio is the best coffee spot on earth but sit under the walnut tree at your own risk! ⚠️ The front of our patio is completely safe though, and probably has a good view of some very happy squirrels. Goodbye Fat Bear Week, hello Fat Squirrel month!
