06/01/2026
In the blink of an eye, time has brought us to the first day of June. This means we are already approaching the halfway point of 2026, and in about 20 days, we will be fully immersed in the summer season.
After nearly two years in business, we have some great news to share with everyone today: you can now enjoy our hot dishes without having to come out to pick them up yourself!
We have just launched a food delivery service covering a 5-mile radius around our location. You can place your order directly through our website (just as you normally would). This means that if you prefer to wait for your food in the comfort of your home, you can now support us directly without needing to rely on any third-party delivery services. This is a new service we have worked hard to provide, creating another avenue to offer you an even better dining experience. If you give it a try and have any feedback or suggestions for improvement, please don't hesitate to let us know!
And of course, something even more exciting is happening this June: we are launching three brand-new menu items all at once! We’ve playfully dubbed this event the "Thai Noodle Fest." In addition to our current offerings—"Khao Soi" and "Boat Noodles"—we will be adding three more varieties to the lineup. We’ll reveal exactly what they are once we officially start selling them, bringing our "Thai Noodle Fest" total to five delicious noodle dishes!
So, let's join the "Noodle Rush Before Summer Crush"!
Finally, a quick update regarding our sales figures: the unusually harsh winter we experienced earlier this year caused a dip in our sales during Q1. However, as we entered Q2, we were once again blessed by the kindness and support of the GR community—just as we always have been. Thanks to you, our sales for the months of April and May have rebounded to match last year's figures—and actually surpassed them by a small margin!
Another piece of good news is that, during these two months, our in-store sales actually outpaced our online sales across all platforms. This means we’ve had more opportunities to make eye contact, exchange smiles, and share a laugh together in person—and that’s truly the best part!
Last week, a customer walked into our shop wearing a shirt that read "Chiang Mai" in Thai script. He explained that he hadn't worn it intentionally just to visit us; rather, he had already been wearing it earlier that day and simply stopped by because he happened to get hungry while passing through the neighborhood. The moment we saw his shirt, we knew—without a doubt—that he was a true fan of ours, so we greeted him with a warm smile. (We later learned that he is British and had previously spent several months traveling throughout Thailand.)
The reason I’m sharing this story is because of something he said that truly touched me: he thanked us for bringing that very smile all the way here to Grand Rapids. He recalled seeing countless smiles just like ours during his travels in Thailand—smiles that truly lived up to the country’s nickname, "The Land of Smiles"—and noted that such genuine warmth is not easily found elsewhere. He was delighted to see it once again, and even more pleased to see that we hadn't lost that spirit after moving to America—especially while working in such a demanding industry as the restaurant business.
Rest assured, you aren't the only one who’s happy about that—we’re just as happy that we’re still able to smile, too!
Who knows? If you folks start ordering delivery through our website more often—or come in to enjoy some noodles during our "Thai Noodle Fest" campaign—we might just find ourselves smiling even wider than ever before.
And we’re confident that the moment you take that very first sip of our broth of noodle, you’ll find yourself smiling right back at us, too. 😘
Finally, I hope the skies within everyone's hearts are as bright and clear as the sky here at GR today. See you at Thai Table! 🥰
