🥪 We’ve Got the Scoops: Meet Our Nonna”
Behind every great sub is someone who makes it with love… and around here, that’s usually Nonna.
For the last six years, she’s proudly called Grand Marais home. If you’ve spent any time in town, chances are you’ve crossed paths with her. From Fourth of July celebrations and community pie sales to Chamber events and Snow Trails, she’s always one of the first to lend a helping hand because giving back to community is simply who she is.
Long before Superior Scoops, Nonna worked at Macomb Sub Shop, where she mastered the art of building an incredible sub. What started as a job became a lifelong hobby (and if you ask us kids… a lifelong hope that she’d get back behind the sandwich counter one day!).
Growing up, Nonna’s subs were legendary. They were packed for field trips, served on Super Bowl Sunday, shared on Christmas Eve, and became the go-to meal whenever family gathered.
Now, she’s sharing that tradition with all of you.
So the next time you bite into one of our fresh-made subs, there’s a good chance it was crafted by the hands that have been feeding family and friends for generations. ❤️
