Grand Junction, our hearts are broken.
Five 17-year-old boys. Five lives that should have had so much more time.
This weekend, our town lost five young men who were just beginning to discover who they were and who they would become. Five families are now facing a pain no parent should ever have to know. Friends are grieving. Classmates are walking into school with empty seats beside them. And an entire community is trying to make sense of something that simply doesn’t make sense.
Tonight, let’s remember that behind this tragedy are real people who loved these boys deeply. Please give their families grace, privacy, and support. Check on our kids, our friends, our neighbors—and especially those who may be carrying this grief silently.
Grand Junction has always been a town where people know people, where our communities overlap, and where one family’s heartbreak can be felt by so many. Right now, five families need that community more than ever.
Please share and let each family know that if they need any dishes for any of the services, we will be more than happy to help out at no charge.
