🇺🇸 WE HAD TO CHECK THE MATH THREE TIMES… 🇺🇸

Over the last three days of our 3 Day Revolution Fundraiser, Gehring’s Tavern raised an incredible $1,776 for Grafton’s 250th Celebration and Fireworks Fund. And yes… we checked the math at least three times because we couldn’t believe it either.

✨ $1 donated for every item sold Thursday, Friday, and Saturday:
1,451 items sold = $1,451 donated
✨ Declaration Wall signatures, See My Legacy donations, and cash contributions:
$325 raised

🇺🇸 Grand Total Raised by Gehring’s: $1,776 🇺🇸
How fitting that the final total ended up being 1776, the very year our Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence—exactly 250 years ago. But Gehring’s wasn’t the only success story this weekend.

Main Street Grafton also came in strong, raising an additional $820 through the Founding Father Bourbon Raffle and the 50/50 drawing held Friday and Saturday. The winners will be contacted tomorrow and officially announced tomorrow as well.

This weekend was about so much more than fundraising. It was about community. Seeing everyone sign the Declaration Wall, and rally behind Grafton’s 250th Celebration showed just how much pride exists in our village.

A special thank you to State Representative and member of the America 250-State of Ohio Commission for joining our “Revolution” on Friday and to Grafton’s Village Administrator Andrew Lipian, Councilman Scott Kilgore and his wife Laura , and Councilman Brian Romes for joining us for the grand finale, making personal donations toward the fireworks fund, and supporting the effort to make Grafton’s 250th Celebration the most epic one yet. Just wait until you hear what Scott, Brian, & Andrew have agreed to volunteer for at the picnic…. Let’s just say it’s going to make a big splash!

The momentum behind Grafton’s “America 250” is growing fast, and this weekend proved what can happen when businesses, residents, volunteers, and village leaders all come together behind a common goal.

So a very special thank you to every customer, donor, volunteer, and supporter who helped turn a fun idea into something truly special.

🇺🇸The Three Day Revolution: The Fight to Help Light Up Grafton’s Sky brought in a grand, collective total of $2,596.00 to donate towards Grafton’s fireworks on July 5th 🇺🇸

Uncle Sam(s) say they want YOU to come join us TONIGHT for our Grand Finale of the The 3-Day Revolution: Party Like It's 1776 at Gehring's

Between Thursday & Friday we have already raised $1,314 from items sold & The Declaration Wall towards The Village of Grafton’s Fireworks Display. Main Street Grafton will also have their volunteer here selling tickets for their Founding Father Bourbon Raffle & 50/50 tickets. Katie is ready to ring The Liberty Bell to challenge your American History knowledge with all sorts of great America 250 items to give away.

While the American Revolution may have began with the shot heard ‘round the world, this Revolution will end with a fireworks display heard round Lorain County 🇺🇸

We have some awesome America 250 giveaways ready to go tomorrow- all you have to do for a chance to win one is listen for the Liberty Bell to ring and be ready to answer a trivia question on American History.

These were made and created by Grafton resident Terry Lohn who has a small business making creations like these of all kinds. I am beyond grateful for all the support that’s been pouring in for the America 250th fundraising campaign to make sure The Village of Grafton has the grandest celebration they have ever had - and one that is worthy of remembering for the next 250 years. As I always say, with everything I do, it takes a village to make these kind of events happen.

Round two has been a party already — and we’re keeping the celebration going one more night!

Main Street Grafton’s Founding Fathers Bourbon Raffle and 50/50 Raffle will now be open through Saturday, giving everyone extra time to grab tickets, get in on the fun, and help support The Village of Grafton’s Fireworks due to high demand & well, it wouldn’t be a true grand finale to this three day revolution without a chance to win!

Round Two of the Three Day Revolution at Gehring’s Tavern is starting strong!

Tonight we have Main Street Grafton here hosting a Founding Father’s Bourbon Raffle & 50/50 Raffle Friday. All proceeds will be donated towards The Village of Grafton’s Fundraising Campaign for our “America 250” fireworks display. We also have our declaration wall to sign (with a quill pen of course) that will go into Grafton’s America 250th Time Capsule.

Katie will be testing your American History knowledge- when she rings the Liberty Bell, be ready to shout out the correct answer for a chance to win one of several “America 250” themed items. If you don’t answer in time, well, we will know who the Benedict Arnold’s & Red Coat Soldiers are 😉

I miscalculated our Round 1 totals and under counted- we actually raised $855 dollars between items sold & online/cash donations from the Declaration Wall. Hoping we can DOUBLE that tonight!

Gehring's Tavern 3 Day Revolution: The Fight to Light Up Grafton’s Sky started off strong! We’ve had donations coming in, signatures on the declaration are growing, and tonight we have giveaways, raffles, a liberty bell 🔔 and absolutely no drinking tea here today!

Tonight Main Street Grafton will be here hosting a 50/50 raffle and a Founding Father’s Bourbon Raffle of several different hard to find bourbons. All proceeds going towards The Village of Grafton’s firework display!

We have our Lake Erie Perch Dinner with Fries & Coleslaw and our Stuffed Hot Hungarian Peppers in our delicious house marinara sauce. Plus it’s round two of our “3 Day Revolution” and $1 from every item sold tonight goes towards The Village of Grafton’s fireworks display this year!

The count is in from night 1 of our revolution and not only did we get several donations from signatures on the declaration wall- but we also raised $490 in addition to the $250 in donations for signatures🧨

and that’s just the first night of our three day campaign. We started strong with a big crowd for the last day of school and the momentum never slowed down. Tonight was supposed to be the tinder towards the grand finale Saturday, but it’s safe to say it was more of a kindling because boy did this fundraiser catch on 🔥 fast! There is nothing I love to see more than a community coming together, fighting for a common goal.

Tomorrow is round two and it’s going to be a party! Katie will have several fun “250” themed give aways tomorrow & all you have to do is listen for the Liberty Bell to ring and be quick to answer one of many American Revolution trivia questions- but if you’re too slow, then it’s safe to assume you might just be one of the Red Coats 😉

Grafton’s Declaration Wall is hung for the weekend!

We are asking all those who visit to sign this document - for a minimum $5 donation towards Grafton’s Fireworks Display for America’s 250th Celebration. You can donate by scanning the QR code on the bottom and show Katie or one of our staff & we will get your quill pen ready for your signature, we will also have a cash donation jar available on behalf of the Village of Grafton! This will then be displayed in town and on July 5th will be put away into Grafton’s “America 250” time capsule that will be buried next to the gazebo where it will reside for the next 50 years! 🇺🇸
