The LAST inventory list for the 2026 season is out now! This is the last chance to get native plants from my nursery until April 15th, 2027. I will be open until Halloween like every year, so if you miss the last Alton Farmers' and Artisans' Market, it’s all good! I’ll still be going for 2 more weeks at the nursery in Grafton.

Speaking of the last farmers market, I will be hosting a SALE starting on Saturday, October 17th…..THE 5 PLANTS FOR $20 DEAL IS BACK UNTIL OCTOBER 31ST!!! All sales and orders will now be discounted 20% if you buy 5 plants!

I know some folks really miss this deal, which is why I’m bringing it back! Let’s get these plants in the ground!

I really appreciate your guys’s support this season, I’ll be making a post soon going into the details!

Until then, see you Saturday for the sale!

The first part of the great Alton lawn kill is complete!!!

Starting in spring, myself, Missy Long and Ryan Long have been working diligently on planning/turning their lawn into a thriving native plant garden. This has been a long time coming! It’s so good to finally see it come to fruition! Stay tuned folks, you’ll be seeing a more in depth process into how this was done very very soon 😉

This is only one part of it, the rest will get planted next week once it finally cools off. Huge props to Missy and Ryan Long for making this happen. They put in a TON of hard work prepping the site and planting. They’re amazing folks whom I’m happy for this garden to call theirs.

Next week I will show off the full garden once finished, In the meantime, enjoy these progress photos!

Thank you everyone for the support!

2 MARKETS REMAIN!!

Tomorrow, we will be at the Alton Farmers' and Artisans' Market from 8am to 12pm selling what we have left!!

Remember, just because market is ending doesn’t mean sales are ending! The official end date for sales is October 31st! Despite that, I’d get your plants NOW, because what we have left is it for the season, and plants are going fast!

Here’s some great photos from the absolutely gorgeous Metro East Humane Society pollinator garden!

Bladdernut (Staphylea trifoliata) is a large shrub to small tree that is one of the strangest native plants we have to our region. It is part of the Staphyleacea family, of which it is the only member of said family that occurs in the US. Most of the diversity of this family is found in China and Eurasia.

In spring, it produces beautiful pendulous flower clustered that smell incredible. Around this time of year, it produces these “bladder-like” pods from said flowers that hold the seeds. The seeds are edible, but not very tasty. In my opinion, the seeds are best reserved for wildlife.

We are loaded for tomorrow’s Alton Farmers' and Artisans' Market!!!

We are back to the farmers market after a 3 weeks! We are very glad to be back at it. This time of year is a magical transition period from summer to fall. Right now, our fall blooming aster family plants are going absolutely crazy! They’ll be putting in a beautiful display all the way till frost. This show isn’t just for us, the pollinators appreciate it more than we could ever hope to.

The weather is saying it’s perfect for fall planting!! Fill up those empty garden beds with native perennials while they last. We only have 4 more weeks of market!

See you there!

We are loaded for tomorrow! We will be at The Mississippi Earthtones Festival from 12pm-6pm with a large selection of native perennials, trees, and shrubs!

Here’s some photos of some of what we will be bringing. We only have 1 month left of our season, so better secure some plants before they’re gone! We will be in spot 54.

See you guys there!
