Took us a minute to get everything shutdown and cleaned up and finally have a moment to reflect another fair!
We never have words to express our thanks to all the fairgoers who enjoy our delicious treats at the Dairy Bars during the 9 days of the Elkhart County 4-H Fair!
We are busy and running like crazy but truly enjoy seeing both familiar and new faces every year!
Once again we need to take time to thank our great staff including Becca Eby, Phil & Melissa Dowty, Josh & Jenny Gordon, John & Cynthia Adam, Nick Adam, Weston Miller, Janay Hackleman, Steve Gongwer, Trula Thomas, Elkhart County 4-H Jersey Club, Elkhart County 4-H Guernsey Club, Elkhart County 4-H Dairy Club, Elkhart County 4-H Dairy Advisory AND most especially the 18 groups that run the two Dairy Bars for 9 days! It truly takes a village.
Shout out to Yoder Meat and Cheese for the delicious cheese for our grilled cheese and ham for the ham and cheese on tractor pull day.
This fair has been bittersweet for our Dairy Family....earlier this summer we lost a beloved board member and Guernsey Club leader Carla Lyle Weaver and this week we also mourn the loss of Valerie Chupp who was mother of 3 former Jersey Club members. We extend our sympathy to both of these families as they mourn these losses!
