📣Alright chat, we’re FINALLY coming home 📣
Before we get back into our regular routine, we wanted to recap the last few months and have a little conversation with our SLT familia.
First off, you guys have shown us SO much love. Between our regular location, the fair, festivals and everything in between, this little trailer has been BUSY. SLT has grown way more than we ever expected, and honestly, we’re still learning how to keep up with that growth.
With that being said, we do want to talk about wait times.
We know you see a small trailer with a few people inside and a 10–15 minute wait might seem reasonable. What you don’t see is everything happening behind that window. On a busy night, our team of 7 is working through walk-up orders, call-ins, aguas, sides, specialty items and sometimes some pretty large orders, all coming in at the same time from people all over Michiana.
We’re not a fast food joint. We make your food to order and we really do care about what we hand out that window. When we’re slammed, we can only push out so much at once without cutting corners, and that’s something we’re not willing to do.
Now, can WE do better? Absolutely. One thing we’ve learned these last few months is that we need to be better about telling you when the wait is longer than normal. If we’re 30, 45 or even 60 minutes out, you deserve to know that before you order. That’s on us and something we’ll be working on.
But we also want to be transparent that during those crazy rushes, a 10–15 minute turnaround just isn’t always possible.
We appreciate the patience. We appreciate the feedback. And most of all, we appreciate that you guys continue showing up for this little trailer. 🤍
We’re learning as we grow, and we’ll keep doing our part to make the experience better without losing the quality that made SLT, SLT.
Now enough of all that… WE’RE COMING HOME. ‼️😎😎😎
