The Barnacle is back! Open 7 days a week through the summer. New building is efficient and we are fast!. Seating is still limited but we can turn and burn. We average 20-25 min ticket times across the day. Peak of the day with heavy to-go's might hit 30 but no more (usually less!).. and that's a full parking lot & cars parked along the street. Everybody have a great weekend!

Parts are ordered for walk-in cooler but unfortinately were gonna miss the weekend. Our main walk-in is barely maintaining serve safe temperatures and if we open were gonna have an issue with food spoilage. Forcast is for a hot weekend which makes the issue really heat up. Want to open.. but can't take that chance. The repair man, a crusty but loveable fella out of Port Orford (who is basically MacGyver) is tired of my my face constantly asking, " how's it look? Cheap part?" Typical response has been, "no!" So.. we will see everybody next week! Thanks for following along in our comedically long reopening adventure.

We are so close. Everything is working except our oven which went down today as we tried to bake bread. I am hoping and have been pushing for friday. I wont know if that is possible till tomarrow and the repair man can sink his teeth into diagnosing the issue. Saturday feels more achievable at this juncture. We have started food prep. Smoking chicken and St. Louis Ribs tomarrow. Its safe to plan for saturday..but tomarrow may be possible if things go well in repair town. Thank you for your patience.

Small steps!. We have had numerous issues compounding and slowing us down. Our fire suppression system had hiccup. Couple days of time invested. Now fixed. Freezer had to be rebuilt. Weeks of time.. Now completed. Currently, we have a couple of fryers waiting on parts. But mostly, i have not been able to get my POS to come back to life. Even with the injection of new hardware. I was hoping for a win today but no dice. I snapped a picture of the rediculous comedy of tech on display. We will be open next week but as to whether its early or late in the week depends on stacking some wins in that department. We want to be open! It will happen but I can't order food till things are up and then we have 2-3 days of prep. Thanks for being patient and even if your not patient... thanks for waiting!

Barnacle is getting closer to opening. I expected to be finnished by now but ( like all construction projects), it takes a bit longer than you expect. So much has happened as the inside was taken down to the studs as well as the kitchen floor being jack hammered away to fix drainage issues. At the end of the day, the 17 years of customization from the previous building is gonna take a bit longer to reassemble inside of a completely remodeled space. Thanks to Alex and Rogue Builders for helping throughout construction process. Can't say enough amazing things about Rogue Builders! Thank you to all the wonderful people working for Gold Beach Mainstreet that layed the foundation for this all to happen. Our plan is to get open around June 1st.(that's the target date).Thanks for the support and excitement about getting reopened.
