Good morning from Gloucester Kitchen. I, Christine, would like to make it clear that we are currently closed due to a current family emergency and that it is not Covid-related. We're taking everything day by day as everything unfolds.
I would also like to clear up false rumors because a select few people decided to make things up and just posted lies on the internet.
We are not closed bc of the Health Department. Our kitchen is very clean and we take our sanitation measures very seriously. If the Health Department shuts a business down then you will know, as they will post stickers all over the door and windows due to a violation. That never happened because we have a satisfactory report from them.
Also, nobody got food poisoning from our food. If a customer did, I'm sure that they would notify us and we always cook our food to the proper temperatures. We have plenty of digital thermometers to make sure that our food reaches the customer at a safe temperature.
It's never easy to have to make a public statement about a personal family issue but this is where we are right now because I don't want the customers that I love, seeing things that just are not true about our business. We worked exceptionally hard to open our doors, during a pandemic after putting all of our money into this place and we will continue to work just as hard as soon as we reopen. Please let us deal with our family emergency and I will keep you posted as to when I will be opening my doors again soon.
Until then, please support all of the local small businesses. They all need you during these hard times. It's been a rough year, so don't forget that families put out a lot of money to open these businesses and it's a struggle to keep them open. This is how they feed their families too. Thank you all so much and have a wonderful day.
Sincerely, Christine Kain Singh
