HAPPY HOUR STARTS AT 4PM TO 6PM HOTEL COLORADO WITH A WALT'S L***R

Walt’s L***r: A New Glenwood Tradition on Tap at Hotel Colorado

Summer in Glenwood Springs has a way of filling your days to the brim. One minute you are cruising down the Colorado River, the next you are hiking Red Mountain, biking the Rio Grande Trail, or soaking in the hot springs until your fingers wrinkle. With so much to do under the Colorado sun, every adventure needs a perfect place to land afterward. At Hotel Colorado, that place is the Coppertop Bar and Lounge, where a brand‑new signature b**r is waiting to welcome you back from the day’s escapades.

Meet Walt’s L***r, our new Czech Dark L***r crafted by Eagle River Brewing and named in honor of Hotel Colorado founder Walter Devereux. According to Sara Scott, our Outlet Manager and resident beverage expert, this b**r is already turning heads. It may look dark and mysterious in the glass, but the first sip tells a different story. Walt’s L***r drinks light, smooth, and surprisingly refreshing, making it an ideal companion for warm summer afternoons and lively evenings on our patio.

Eagle River Brewing is known for its thoughtful approach to craft b**r, and this collaboration gave us the chance to create something truly special for our guests. Czech dark la**rs are famous for their balance, and Walt’s L***r follows that tradition with a flavor profile that is both nuanced and easygoing. Expect subtle notes of roasted malt, a gentle sweetness, and a clean finish that invites another sip. It is the kind of b**r that feels right at home in Glenwood Springs, where history, hospitality, and a touch of adventure blend together every day.

The name itself is a nod to the man who started it all. Walter Devereux built Hotel Colorado in 1893 as a grand retreat for travelers seeking fresh mountain air and restorative leisure. More than a century later, the hotel continues to serve as a hub for explorers of every kind. Whether you spent the day conquering mountain trails, paddling through whitewater, or strolling through downtown Glenwood Springs, Walt’s L***r is ready to help you unwind.

There is something special about ending a day of summer activities at a place that feels both historic and alive with new energy. Step into the Lounge and you will find guests swapping stories about their journey through Glenwood Caverns, families planning tomorrow’s adventures, and locals catching up over their favorite drinks. Walt’s L***r fits right into that scene. It is approachable, flavorful, and proudly connected to the community that inspires everything we do.

So the next time you wander back to Hotel Colorado after a sun‑splashed day in Glenwood Springs, grab a seat and let Walt’s L***r do the talking. It is crisp, clever, and just the right kind of beverage after a day of rafting, hiking, or soaking. One sip and you will understand why our team is grinning every time they pull the tap. Consider it your reward for adventuring boldly and relaxing well. Prost!
