THE ANCESTRAL APOTHECARY
Hey Boos!
The Ancestral Apothecary is six days out
Wednesday, October 21, 7:00–9:00 PM Arizona time, live on Zoom.
Herbal rituals for the spirit realm and it's all about the plants that open the door to your ancestors, the protection you need once it's open, and the herbal remedies to get you on your way because, not everything that comes through the veil is your grandmother.
$55, and every registration includes the full replay for 3 months.
We are in the thinning days now, the nights are turning, and all living things are doing the same thing- drawing inward, sending its energy down to the roots. This is the energetics of the season for some plantlike it's less bloom, more root. Less reaching out, more inner tending.
I'm almost certain you're begining to feel this way too! Sleep gets strange. Dreams get loud because it's the general vibration of the season! You're not imagining those things it's the season.
Grief, memory, and love all live in the same room right now, and the ancestors are leaning in.
This is a season for support, not pushing. Three plants I reach for every single year around this time is the same ones that most of you are reading for as well!
Cinnamon- it gives us that inner warmth and fire in a time where we are seeking comfort during change. It supports our circulation, and as cyclical beings we are on the heels of yet another time of shifting once again.
Elderberry — the one that belongs on the counter when the season turns. No question about it. It has to be handy because when you need it, you need it asap! As the weather shifts and everybody around you starts sniffling, elderberry is the traditional keeper of the house.
Rosemary — for the fog that comes with the darkening days. Rosemary is a memory plant in every sense: it sharpens the mind, warms the blood, and it's been laid on altars for our dearly departed for centuries. Put a sprig in your tea, your soup or your bath. Remember on purpose...
Hawthorn — heart medicine for the season when grief visits. The berries ripen in the fall for a reason. Hawthorn has always been the plant for a heart that is carrying something — it tends the physical heart and the emotional heart at the same time.
You don't need to have all three but I will definitely say that each one has it's own place, but one plant, one cup, one small daily ritual will change how this season feels. And if you want help choosing, that's literally what I'm here for! Come in and talk to me- you know where to find me ;)
And then there is Steeped in Spirit
October 29 — Steeped in Spirit, our Día de los Mu***os edition, 6:30–8:30 PM in the garden, $35.
This is such a special evening... We gather outside as the light goes down, two days before Día de los Mu***os, at the exact point of the year when the veil is thinnest and the ones we've lost are nearest. I'll serve my ancestral connecting tea blend — one I craft for remembering — and Christina will bring through intuitive messages as we sit together. At the center of it: a community ofrenda, built by all of us. You can bring a copy of a photo of your loved one and a small offering if you'd like.
Nothing we love is ever really gone. It changes form. This is the night we sit with that — tea in hand, grounded and surrounded by people who understand exactly why you came.
It's an intimate gathering outdoors. Bring a blanket if you tend to get chilly. Everyone is welcomed.
