🎨Robbin returns on Tuesday, October 6th for our next card making class! Reservations are required. Sign up early to reserve a spot ~ Robbin's classes sell out quickly.

😊 Many of our dear customers have been asking about Matt Borowski. We are very blessed by Matt and call him often for advice, historic information, and to check on his adventures.

Matt Borowski...This is Your Life!

🏫Matt was born at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Maryland. The family moved to Glendale, AZ and he attended elementary school at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, (K through 5th grade), then Unit One (6th to 8th grade). He is a proud graduate of Glendale High School!
Fun Fact: Matt and my husband Bud graduated together!

🖥 Prior to owning The Spicery, Matt started with landscape maintenance at the Medical Arts building on 59th across from Valley West Mall, then on to Jack in the Box, Marie Callendars, BLM working on computers that ran CAP (Central Arizona Project canal,) then 20 years at Intel.

🍽 Many of you know that Matt worked at The Spicery with Martha Campbell prior to owning the restaurant. Matt would do handyman projects and be a waiter on really busy days. When Martha reopened in 2010, that is the timeframe when he worked in the kitchen with Martha.

❤️ Matt has wonderful memories of Martha and will tell you that she was one of those people who shaped your character. He remembers so many projects they worked on and he once asked her, “how do you know how to do this?” She said, "I don’t, I just start and learn as I go!" That spirit served Matt well throughout all of his careers.

🫖 Matt purchased The Spicery from Martha on April 1, 2012. Yes, April Fools Day! Matt loves all the history and memories at The Spicery. He remembers walking through the house all alone and there were many things that would bring back wonderful memories.

✈️ Matt has been doing some amazing traveling since his retirement. His favorite trip has been to Peru in September 2023. His next adventure is a river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam.

💕 We treasure our dear Matt. We are sending him our warmest wishes for fabulous adventures ahead....

💕 Born in Oklahoma and raised in Colorado, she is now right here in Glendale, AZ! Kristi loves being a mom and keeps very busy with her children and all their school activities.

🫖 Iced Tea News! We debuted a new Ice Tea for the summer, our Raspberry Hibiscus, and it was a hit! You have asked, and we have listened...this flavor is now on the menu for our all-year lineup of Iced Teas!

💕 The Raspberry Hibiscus is a decaffeinated Tea that is sweet and tangy with flavor notes of Raspberry, Hibiscus, Lemon Grass, Rose Petals, and Orange. Our beloved Black Currant and Wild Berry continue to be on the menu.
