I haven’t posted in a few days because we’ve been so busy! Both with the restaurant and life 😅

We TRIED really hard to make today work, but we had no control over our tournament schedule this weekend, and M had a commitment, too 💔

I didn’t have time to make a sign for the doors, but we appreciate y’all understanding when we put our family time and sanity first on a weekend 🫶🏽

We will see yall Monday (6/15) for breakfast at 7am 💙

I post my kids because they’re a part of our family business, too 😅

My middle child greets almost all the kids that come in to eat. One time I came out from the kitchen, and he had convinced a table to play bingo with him - I was MORTIFIED 🫣 but their child had fun playing while they waited for their food.

I aim to please the kids at the table because when the kids are happy, parents are less stressed and can enjoy their meal🫶🏽

Kids are brutally honest so their compliments carry more weight with me! Like my waffle compliment - IYKYK 😝

I’ve also learned over the past couple of years that some adults are just plain miserable. I have zero desire to make those people happy because there’s a good chance that no matter what I do - I won’t🙃

So bring your kids! They can color our menu pages, color and fill out a world cup bracket (adults, too!), and you can be happy that they ate a whole meal because if they didn’t like what they ordered, I’ll do my best to make something else they do 🤗

And once our friends at DinoCade are back from their trip, y’all can hang out there before/during/after y’all’s meal 🕹️

Or you can be like R and eat different things in the same meal. Quesadilla, chicken tenders, and fries! Some of our regulars get a side of fries with most of their meals 😅

BLT? Side of fries. Quesadilla? Side of fries. Salad? Side of fries! No shame in anyone’s fry game! We do it ourselves, too 🍟

But look at THAT buffet price! I never knew my family did it that cheap to begin with 😅

Today is the FIRST Sunday of the month - which means we have buffet today, and at the same time listed in the ad. Price in the ad does not reflect the price for today 🫣

Rice, refried beans, OG Chachi’s cabbage, carne guisada, soft cheese tacos, cheese and onion enchiladas, and crunchy tacos - and yes, it’s all you can eat!

I snapped this picture on Wednesday. F had had a long day full of swim lessons, Camp Camp as he calls it, and then playing with a friend after. He was SO tired 😴

I took the picture because I thought it was silly how he portrayed what most moms/adults feel, even though he was tired from just playing 🤪

Looking at it today, though - it’s how I feel! It’s been a busy first full week of the kids starting their summer camps and lessons, figuring out how to get them where on time, and still managing the restaurant 😅

I am thankful for yalls understanding on Wednesday when we had to do lunch only and for yall keeping us so busy yesterday that I never had time to post 😆

Magi is BACK TODAY 😭 Tears of joy! We have breakfast until 11:00am. I’m about to trim and marinate steak for fajitas and peel potatoes for fries so that we are ready for lunch!

Delivery may be possible today. Call us at 254 897 7504 to see if we can, order online for pick up if you don’t like phone calls, or just come join us inside 🫶🏽

In a perfect world, everyone’s schedules would align and no one would ever get sick 😆

Unfortunately, that’s not the case today. I booked swim lessons for the boys before we changed our hours and Mags is still not feeling well. Please say a prayer that she gets to feeling better and comes back to help keep me sane 🥹

We will be open for LUNCH ONLY today from 11:00am until 3:00pm 💙

Are they pretty? No! 🙃

Are they gluten-free? YES! 😃

Yesterday a customer came in and asked if we had gluten-free pancakes. Luckily, I had some 1:1 flour, so I was able to use my pancake recipe and substitute the gluten-free flour 🥰

I am happy that she asked AND enjoyed the pancakes because I was feeling bad that I didn’t have a ton of gluten-free options on the menu because a lot of breakfast items contain gluten! I have enough to make more today. Our tacos can always be substituted with corn tortillas, too 🫶🏽

I do apologize but we are out of wings! We are here until 3:00pm today with our breakfast menu running until 11:00ish.💙

I know that *sometimes* I put a lot on my plate 😬 but I am always the first to admit when I overdo it - and these past few days, I did just that.

Friday I was at the restaurant from 6:30am until 10:30pm. I would like to say that I took a break or even left to grab a coffee, but that’s not the case. Magi was sick and so Ali and I handled a catering that evening pretty much on our own 😅 Shout out to Lauren and Miranda stepping in to help set the tables and cut some fruit 😘

Had it just been that day, I would be okay, but I also had a full day the day before with another catering 😆

On top of all of that - I made my first ever wedding cake (just don’t look toooo close 😝) yesterday with the help of Flowers of Faith 💐

All of that to say - we are taking a BREAK today to deep clean and relax 🫶🏽

We will see you TOMORROW, June 1 at 7:00am 💙
