💜 Sometimes I sit back and look at everything God has allowed me to build, and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.
Not because of the recognition.
Not because of the title.
But because of the lives.
The lives touched.
The families supported.
The communities served.
The hearts encouraged.
The Mattie Smothers Foundation was never just about programs or events.
It was born from a desire to make sure people know they matter.
To show up for those who are grieving.
To support those who are struggling.
To bring hope where it’s needed most.
To remind people that they are not alone.
Every volunteer.
Every donation.
Every conversation.
Every act of kindness.
It all matters.
This image isn’t about me.
It’s about what happens when ordinary people come together with a shared purpose and decide to make a difference.
And as I look toward the future, my prayer remains the same:
May we continue to serve with compassion.
Lead with integrity.
And leave every person we encounter better than we found them.
