Blu is looking for a host/hostess that will perform duties during service that include greeting guests, answering the phone, escorting them to their tables and assisting other service staff to ensure an excellent dining experience for all. Candidates for this position should have:

• A professional, friendly and enthusiastic phone presence and ability to interact with guests with a positive impact.

• Bright and pleasant personality with a passion for hospitality

• Ability to handle reservations and special requests over the phone

• Experience working with reservation software

• Great customer recognition skills

• Comfortable with navigating around a luxury dining room and interacting with clientele

Potential gratuity added based on experience from the front of the house and the possibility to cross train for a serving position.

$20/hr starting

Jessica has worked at Blu well before I took over. Everyone made it out safely, Which is most important! Robb’s employer already started a go fund me. Yesterday I drove around Traverse City getting them gift cards so that they can get clothing, food and other supplies sooner rather than later for them and the kiddos. They currently have a place to stay as well. Can’t imagine dealing with something like this.
