CoasT Pizza will be Closing Soon
We hope to open in December or January. We will be reducing our hours over the next 2 weeks and closed by Labor Day weekend.
This is not what I wanted for my Community, especially as the only 3 meal a day, 7 day a week restaurant in the Valley. Everybody knows about the housing problem but thats the least of my issues here in Old Girdwood.
Support Local Businesses and support the Community of Old Girdwood before we are no more.
Please contact Girdwood Board of Supervisors, the MOA, and DOT and tell them you don't want local businesses to close their doors due to their mismanagement. Please give them a 1 star review and not me.
I am asking for outside support. Especially while we alter our structure for what is sustainable with the circumstances we face.

Update for those asking:
We are State Public Lands and because of this we have no vote at the MOA here in Glacier Creek Valley.
Our utilitiy corridors have multiple government jurisdictions, including federal because Old Girdwood is critical public infrastructure and a transportation corridor to our deep sea ports.
The DOT/MOA are flooding us in Old Girdwood due to lack of maintenance on the culvert under the Highway and the failing federal levee. The gas station and both highways discharge waste water onto our lands. Our WWTF has had Clean Water Act violations the last 12 out of 12 quarters according to the EPA Detailed Facility Report. Lastly, they refuse to even talk with us. This is why I'm asking for help.
In addition I am tired of funding and being held responsible for the waste and bathroom situation at the gas station.
