We had this awesome group come in today! A few of them are staying in the area, visiting from Finland. So cool! When I asked what their reason was for their visit, they answered, to chase storms! Okay, you've come to the right area at the right time. They asked if we would do an interview for their YouTube channel so we passed that onto Bella, she's our MVP!
(I will link their channel in the comments along with a tiny clip from today.) We never know who we will meet at Doc's, today was pretty neat. When they release the video from today, I will make sure to share it with you all. 🫶

UPDATE: Tornado Warning has expired. Now it is a Thunderstorm Warning with possible Tornados, hell, and up to 70mph straight line wind. Gilmer, you are under a TORNADO WARNING. I love this!

One thing that’s surprised me about having a storefront in Gilmer is the amount of out of town visitors we get, all year long. I often ask “What brought you to Gilmer?”

Yesterday’s answers included we came from Tyler, to eat Doc's Hot Links and decided to look around town. Another couple came from Shreveport, to eat East TX Rust BBQ
because they had found it online and then explored downtown.

These are just a couple examples from a random Tuesday.

There’s a saying that goes “a rising tide lifts all ships.” To all our fellow small business owners, keep up the good work. I know a lot of times we wonder if anyone sees what we post or if it makes a difference. Just know that it does and together we all rise. ❤️
