Come celebrate the Lunar New Year and join us at the Berkeley Heights Summit Area YMCA on Sunday, February 2 from 4-6 pm! There will be Chinese food for purchase and we will be giving away Lunar New Year coupons for 10% off!

On Sunday, February 2 from 4pm to 6pm (just over a week away), come celebrate the Lunar New Year at the Berkeley Heights YMCA! This event is a partnership between the Berkeley Heights Diversity Council, Summit Area YMCA, Han academy, and Buy Local NJ!

Celebrated throughout Asia, this year Lunar New Year falls between January 29 and February 12. The Chinese zodiac marks this year to be the Year of the Snake. In China, the holiday is known as Chinese New Year or Spring Festival. In South Korea, it is called Seollal. In Vietnam, it is known as Tết.

Event activities include a traditional lion dance presented by Garden State Lions, musical performances, arts and crafts, photo booth, and more! Delicious food and beverages will be available for purchase from Proud Thai Cookery and Lung Yan Chinese Restaurant!
