Get to know the faces that make up The Ardor Collective!
Meet Adam Greer, appearing in what is arguably his most exciting role to date: Wine Director at The Ardor. Read on to learn more...
Q. One thing people might not know about you?
A. I'm a classically-trained Shakespearean actor and I appeared on Broadway this year!
Q. Favorite thing to do when you're not in the kitchen?
A. I play guitar, am on a competitive soccer league team and I love to read and golf. But most importantly, I try to spend as much time as possible with my wife and 3 children. I also love to cook at home--because I'm not in the kitchen at work. I leave that to the professionals!
Q. What one item is always in your fridge?
A. BBQ sauce, usually homemade. Current batch is a spicy cherry bourbon sauce.
Q. Who is your biggest inspiration?
A. I draw inspiration from many sources: in how my children view the world with altruism and optimism, and from my mother, who is patient, forgiving and always sees the best in people. In the wine world, I greatly admire Larry Stone, who made his way to the upper echelon of Master Sommeliers, then decided to become a winemaker, succeeded, then risked everything to buy his Lingua Franca property. I'm inspired by his confidence, his competence and his willingness to take risks.
Q. What are you most looking forward to at The Ardor?
A. I look forward to challenging myself and our staff...The Ardor is a passion project--a long-realized dream of a kitchen staff who have been trying to find a creative and positive workspace together for almost 2 years. Bernie has made this dream a reality with his visionary outlook and the immense detail he has put into every inch of our new space. I look forward to sharing this passion with our community.
