Cozy atmosphere. Service that feels like family. Come taste why locals can’t stop talking about us! For a quick bite or a sit-down meal, Romeo's Euro Café is a welcoming and inviting establishment. Open for lunch and dinner, the menu (Mediterranean influenced) is seemingly endless, cooked after the order has been placed in the kitchen, NO microwaves or heat lamps. Appetizers (whole page) such as:

Greka, Faccacia de la Provincia, Portobellini and Feta Dill Fritters get you started. The 18 salads are highlighted by the Balsamic Steak salad, DeLemono Seafood salad, Corinthian salad and unique Ravioli salad. The 26 pitas encompass everything from their featured Euroburger(homemade gyros) to Avocado Feta, Monte Karlo and Zucchini Chicken. Also subs, pocket subs and burger subs make the menu. Romeo's also features a variety of Speciallity Entrees: Gyros Platter, Pasta Rustica, Sunflower Beef and Fillomousaka, Poultry: Garlic Chicken Pesto, Chicken Veneto and Greco-Roman Chicken, Seafood: Salmon de Provence, Balsamic Shrimp de Modena and Shellfish Tortellini, to eggplant and pasta entrees. The large wine selection culminates in monthly specials and unique events held at Romeo's that draw fun and creative crowds. The restaurant also feature two glass cases with four rows of numerous desserts (made in-house) beautifully presented and labeled for easy decision-making. The kitchen is open and the dining room features metal and wood accents with a brick wall and big windows open to the street. Romeo's also offers take out and catering so stop-in or call to order any one of their scrumptious dishes.

Romeos Euro Cafe in Gilbert AZ started in Mesa in 1991. Romeo and his family came to the US from Romania. The family settled in Michigan and enjoyed a nice life. Romeo came to AZ and learned under a chef in Phoenix about food and creating dishes unique and delicious. He and his wife Janice started Pita Stop in Mesa AZ first. They then opened Euro Cafe in Longmore and Southern. The restaurant was so successful it grew into a pastry cafe, coffee shop, live music venue and gift shop. In 2004 the restaurant moved to Gilbert, one of the first restaurants to open on Gilbert Row. It has continued to thrive with wine dinners, lunch and dinner, catering and coffee. Come on in and see why we have remained a Gilbert fixture. Romeo passed in 2024 after a shortly being diagnosed with a brain tumor. Janice, many staff members remain and continue the journey. Some new items, many favorites. Homemade dishes uniquely inspired by the Mediterranean and Central Europe. Come in and see and taste for yourself!

Romeo started Euro Cafe in 1991 with his wife Janice. Romeo came from Romania with his family to Michigan. After life and success he relocated to AZ. There he learned from another Phoenix chef and opened the Pita Stop in Mesa. Always striving for more, the Euro Cafe opened at Longmore and Southern. It grew into a restaurant, pastry chop, coffee house, gift shop and live music. A change in 2004 brought him to Gilbert. One of the first restaurants on Gilbert Row. Romeos vision is still alive today. While changing consumer tastes, demographics and all other things that life brings to all businesses, Romeos has thrived. After his passing, we tried to keep it exactly as it was. Romeo wanted to change some items prior to his passing. Lighter creations, add grains, more up to date items while staying true to his mission. Good food, good wine, good company and affordable. Come in and see .. yes some items are not on the menu as we have tried to continue his vision. Some have made their way back after hearing from you. 410 items are impossible to continue without Romeo, but the favorites are still there. We can’t wait to see you and visit.
