This is a bad idea…
Every year, the brilliant brewers at Fremont Brewing release a couple of bucket list beers. Bob usually picks up five kegs. We put one on tap out of the gate. We save one for the anniversary parties in Local Boys Taproom at Bremerton and Purdy. We’ll tap one randomly when Bob forgot to order a keg for a particular dark tap. One keg is put away. It goes into a dark hole in the cooler where dreams go to die. Bob had a plan. If we didn’t make it to ten years, he would drown himself in it. If we did make it to ten years, we’d put them all on tap at the same time. Bob likes challenge coins. He has a bunch of them. That’s another story. Bob thought it would be epic to get challenge coins made for anyone that wanted to do a half pint flight of all seven B-Bombs (2019-2025). That’s three and a half pints of B-Bomb. Poured at the same time so you can compare how they change as they rise to room temperature. Before completing even a quarter of them, Bob said, “this is a bad idea”. Halfway through, Bob said, “there is something wrong with me”. Three quarters of the way through, Bob said, “this is awesome”.
Prepare yourself. Bring food. We have water. Take your time. Seven expressions of B-Bomb in one sitting is something to be savored and cherished. This is an experience that has never happened before and never will again. Until we blow the kegs and we do the same thing with Dark Star.
