Not to be dramatic but ice cream by the fire on our FIRST NIGHT at our new Getttysburg shop sounds like a pretty solid way to celebrate the first day of school.

And if you’re avoiding us because you think opening night = insane wait… we’ve got 5 scoopers working and they are CRUSHING IT. Basically no wait!

School is back in session… which always makes me think of the movie Matilda! 📚🍫

You know that scene where Bruce has to sit in front of the whole school and eat an ENTIRE chocolate cake because Miss Trunchbull makes him?! I have ALWAYS wondered what that cake would taste like… and this ice cream is exactly what I imagine it tasting like.

“YOU CAN DO IT, BRUCE!”🍫🍫🍫

Hands down the most chocolatey chocolate flavor we’ve EVER made. Deep, rich milk chocolate cake ice cream with swirls of chocolate icing AND chocolate fudge sauce.

Hitting the freezers at all locations tomorrow (8/19) while supplies lasts!!! 🍫

THE MOMENT WE’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR, GETTYSBURG… 🥹🍦

WE’RE MOVING!!!

And I knew this day was coming, but I don’t think I truly understood how emotional it would feel to say goodbye to this place.

There are SO many memories within those walls. It’s where we learned we were going to have our first baby. It’s where we got engaged. It’s where so many of our “firsts” happened.

We’ve watched our family grow there, watched your families grow there, scooped more cones than we could ever possibly count, and made 12 years worth of memories in that tiny little building.

That little shop has meant the world to us. ❤️

If you’ve been wanting to make one last memory there, this is your final chance.

We’re open until 9PM tonight (8/15) and 11AM–9PM tomorrow (8/16).

After that, we’ll close Monday and Tuesday to pack up 12 years of our lives and move everything just 500 feet up the road.

And on Wednesday (8/19)… we’ll finally open the doors to something we’ve dreamed about for so long.

A space with indoor seating. Fireplaces to gather around outside. A place for your kids, your first dates, post game celebrations, and countless new memories for many, many years to come.

I’m truly sad to leave this little shop behind.

But I am beyond excited to finally give Gettysburg the place you all deserve. ❤️

One last weekend in the old shop.

Today, we donated a few thousand dollars’ worth of ice cream and fresh waffle cones to the Bendersville Community Fire Department Carnival. ❤️

I grew up just down the road, and this carnival was the highlight of my summer. I could walk there every night, and 35 years later, I still haven’t missed it.

Getting to give back to the community that gave me so many great memories is something I’ll never take for granted.

The carnival starts tomorrow (7/30) and runs through Saturday (8/1). Come hungry, support the volunteers, and show my hometown some love. ❤️
