With many mixed emotions, I am announcing that I have sold Globetrotter Coffee Co. to my dear friend Brodie at The Market on the Plaza.
It has been an incredible journey the last five and half years and I couldn’t have done it without all the terrific support from so many who believed in me, helped me in numerous ways, or the wonderful customers who told me how much they loved my coffee.
I think the most bittersweet for me is all the memories my sons and I have in that shed; roasting coffee, chatting away the hours or doing homework while I roast, or everyone pitching in to fill a large order. They were some amazing times that I will hold dearly.
Looking back over the pictures, I opened and operated this business while working four part time jobs, raising four boys, finishing college as a full time student, and started not just one, but two careers. I think back to the countless nights I didn’t sleep for roasting, and am so thankful God kept me safe on long deliveries. I also have no idea but for the grace of God and sheer stubbornness that I still managed to have a life and adventures with my boys.
But as I step into a new season with grown and growing children, incredible people that have been added to our lives, a demanding career, a budding ministry, and hobbies that keep me going, I know it’s time to pass the torch…er…roasting flame. 🥹
One major thing that gives me peace is knowing how much Brodie loves Globetrotter, and how determined he is to continue to bring quality coffee to you and yours. So from the bottom of my heart, I thank you again. God bless you!
