The bakery is owned by Ron Ahlers, a master baker and Chris Ahlers with his wife Jenn, manage the day to day operations. Ron was one of the first 500 certified bakers in the United States. One of the unique aspects of the business is its use of all fresh ingredients — no pre-made mixes are used. The bakery has its busiest season during the holidays and during the wedding season. Our cake decorators consult with each couple to design the perfect cake for their special day.

After over 20 years of supplying fresh baked goods to stock the shelves of the bakery department at Main Street Market, Gering Bakery will no longer fill those shelves. Main Street Market has decided to pave their own path in the bakery department. Don't worry though. You can still get all those things you enjoyed picking up from there at either of our locations. Gering Bakery or Bluffs Bakery. Coffee cakes, brownie bites, english muffin bread and sour dough bread! You can give us a call at 308-436-5500 and we can place an order for you or stop by! Thank you for the memories Main Street Market and here's to new ones! 🥂
