Windsor! 🇬🇧

Today included Windsor Castle, a boat ride on the Thames, more swans than I have ever seen gathered in one place, a little shopping…and, because apparently I am incapable of actually taking a vacation, inspecting every bakery case I passed. 😂

I told myself I was just looking.

I was not just looking. 👀🥐

That crème brûlée croissant definitely has my attention, and I may be coming home with a few new ideas for the DBR pastry case, but I gotta be honest, I’ve not seen anywhere that offers the variety we do daily.🤫

We also found a LIFE-SIZE LEGO Royal Guard — because England apparently knows exactly how to get my attention. 😂🇬🇧

One more day in England before we head home — with a camera roll full of castles, pubs, pastries and entirely too many pictures of food.

Walking York’s city walls, peeking into Ch*****ne gardens, and doing some very serious research through every pastry shop window. You know, for the bakery. 👀🥐

They say York has 365 pubs—one for every day of the year—which feels like a challenge James and I would happily accept. It’s also supposedly one of the most haunted cities in England, so we’re taking a ghost tour tonight. If I don’t post tomorrow, check pub number 364 first. 👻🍺

It’s been a little quiet on here because I’m actually taking this vacation seriously. Shocking, I know. 😂

James and I have made it from London to York. I love York!!! We’ve walked miles, found good music, eaten plenty of good food, and I’ve been peeking into every bakery I pass in the name of “research.”

My suitcase, meanwhile, is STILL on its own vacation. If it comes home with better stories than I do, I’m going to be mad.🤯. On the bright side, got a little shopping spree.

I miss you all! Desserts by Rebecca is closed through Friday, and we’ll be back Saturday, October 3 with fully stocked shelves, soup and plenty of stories. ❤️

London, you were a lot. 🇬🇧

We saw the sights, crossed “the” bridge, figured out the buses, ate a real english breakfast , and witnessed a man digging for boogers with a level of commitment I usually only see during Christmas week at the bakery. James was right there, and somehow the man behind him still stole the photo. 😂

My suitcase, meanwhile, is enjoying its own separate vacation. I’ve made it to York with one extra shirt, one extra pair of underwear, and a growing emotional attachment to the pants I’m wearing.
Disgusting…I’m burning them when I get home!

Having the best time. Would also love my makeup back. 🧳😂

Shopping tomorrow and turning the bill into british airways!
