On today’s meet the vendor Monday we wanted to spotlight Haywire Homestead. They have been with us since we opened the storefront in 2023 and come to us from Bethel. They have ranch blends, taco blends, chicken and garlic blends and rubs all made in small batches without the added junk ingredients. My favorite is the taco seasoning!

It’s meeting day!
Did you know your farmers get together once a month for a business meeting?

We all talk daily but get together face-to-face each month. We cover all things business and our veterinarian gives us the latest information in vet world. We exchange ideas, discuss ongoing projects, and coordinate efforts to support the continued success of Buckeye Valley.

One of the other highlights is that we always eat well. Tonight’s menu is fajitas. Stay tuned for a pic of dinner- if we remember to take one before stuffing our faces.

We might be business partners but we are also friends and look forward to our time together.

For those of you who have been around a while, you may recognize a familiar face!

Kylie joined us last year as an intern, and we’re excited to welcome her back again this summer. Kylie is a student at The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, Ohio specializing in Beef Reproduction and Management and she brings a strong agricultural background from her family's farm. She’ll be helping us run the store, pack orders, and assist us out on the farms throughout the summer season.

Having Kylie around will allow us to open 4 additional hours this summer:
Friday 4pm-6pm
Saturday 9am-2pm

Buckeye Valley will be OPEN TODAY from 4-6pm. Kylie, our intern from last year, has returned and we are so happy to have her back. Stop in to tell her hello while you shop for your weekend meats!

This month we are running our Pasture Raised Chicken sale! Grab your favorites while they last at a great value!

This is NOT grocery store chicken raised in cages claiming to be pasture raised. These birds were not fed growth hormones to raise the biggest chicken as fast as possible.

Daily care, rotational grazing, fresh water, room to move and grass to dig through is the only way to go here at Buckeye Valley. Quality chicken you can trust.

Here at Buckeye Valley Beef Cooperative, we work with * 2 * wonderful, local honey vendors. Lipps Smackin' Good Honey and Poplar Knoll Farms! We do this to keep you stocked year round with local honey. This stuff is so good we cant keep it on the shelves.

This weekend we got the news that Lipps Smackin' Good Honey will be returning VERY soon! Keep your eye on our social to see when it hits the store.

Poplar Knoll Farms honey will stay on the shelves too as well as their whipped honey, pure maple syrup, and maple cream! The whipped honey and maple cream are a spreadable consistency great on bagels or toast (especially sourdough).

THANK YOU to both of these farms for working with us to bring our customers even more high quality products. 🍯🐝
