I havenβt had a chance to thoroughly test this theory, but Iβm convinced Ohio has way more readers and a much larger book-loving community than basically any other state π₯°
I definitely DIDNβT cry seeing our store, unsolicited, appear in this article.
Walking into the store daily, I only ever see what needs done: what Iβve forgotten to do, buy, pay, change, clean.
All I see is a work in progress and a collection that needs more care and curation and love.
All I hear is: do you have the 3rd and 4th book in this series? Oh no? Iβll run to Barnes and noble today, donβt worry about ordering. π€¦ββοΈπ
But seeing our baby store, that still needs so much more from me, described this way, I did feel hope that maybe I didnβt make a giant mistake and commit my family to my personal failure ππ€¦ββοΈ
So enjoy this excerpt that definitely didnβt make me cry (were number 9 in the article π€―π₯°):

βThere is something especially enjoyable about discovering a strong bookstore in a place where you might not expect such a rewarding literary stop. In Geneva, Lake Erie Book Company delivers that pleasant surprise with a welcoming atmosphere and a selection that encourages readers to slow down and browse with intention. . .
. . The storeβs charm comes from the way it balances accessibility with discovery. You can browse familiar categories and current titles, but there is also a sense that the inventory has been shaped with real readers in mind rather than built around generic formulas.β

No. Greater. Compliment. We will never stop trying to bring you books to change your life.
Thank you Ohio, for changing mine β€οΈππ
Towering shelves, hidden treasures, cozy reading corners, and endless aisles β these Ohio bookstores are paradise for book lovers.
