The Lakehouse Inn & Winery is a boutique resort in Northeast Ohio is located along the southern shore of Lake Erie in Geneva-on-the-Lake. The property consists of an nine-room bed and breakfast, four cottages, Crosswinds Grille, featuring farm-to-table cuisine and the Spa. There are a number of packages/events to experience throughout the year. Fall colors are stunning while the days are still com

fortable along the shoreline due to the warmer lake water. Lake Erie is also very captivating during the winter months as the lake terrain turns very tundra-like. The Lakehouse Inn is along the “Lake Erie Wines & Vines” trail, which is at the heart of Ohio Wine Country. The Lakehouse Inn is within walking distance of Ohio’s oldest resort, “The Strip” where there are a number of games, small shops, and a number of eateries. For activity enthusiasts, there are a number of golf courses, hiking and biking trails. The inn is a short distance from the Metroparks biking/walking trails. If you would like to get out for a drive, a trip to the historic Ashtabula Harbor, a stroll through one of Ashtabula County’s Covered Bridges, or exploring the Barn Quilt Trail across Ashtabula County are just a few possibilities.

You settle into your table on the patio just as the sun starts its slow drop toward the water. A glass of our own wine arrives, catching the light. Out come plates built from whatever the local farms brought in this week — wood-fired, fresh, simple in the way that only takes real work to pull off.

Somewhere between the first bite and the last of the sunset, you stop checking the time. That's the whole idea.

Our seasonal lunch hours are only here through the end of the season, so be sure to come catch a bite with us while you can! Full menu available 🌊🏠

🌅Want to get the most out of August? Come down on a weekday.

The Strip has a whole different feel Monday through Thursday. On a weekend it's summer at full volume — packed, buzzing, a wait for everything, and there's real fun in that. But midweek, it slows down and opens up.

You can actually wander. Duck in and out of the shops without the crush. Take your time with an ice cream cone. Play a game, grab a bite, double back to that one store you liked, all without fighting the crowd. The pace is yours to set.

And when you've had your fill, the Inn is a short walk away — the lake, the quiet, a slow dinner once the day winds down.

Same lake, same old-fashioned charm, a whole lot more room to breathe. Midweek in August might be the best-kept secret on the shore. 🤫

A 25 oz. porterhouse doesn't ask for much attention — it commands it.

This week at Crosswinds Grille, it's the centerpiece of a specials board built for slowing down: rotini carbonara tossed with prosciutto and cream, a bourbon-glazed pork chop, Sicilian swordfish topped with sun-dried tomatoes and olives. Key lime cheesecake to finish, if there's room.

Find us Thursday and Friday from 4pm, and Saturday through Monday from noon — Lake Erie views included.
