Our Ga***rd Location will be missed, but we don’t have enough reliable staff to keep it going. We have re-opened our location on exit 270 in Waters MI and our remaining staff are relocating there.

After 36 years, Gobblers of Ga***rd is closing permanently Saturday. Gobbler’s of Ga***rd is Permanently Closing April 16th.

After 36 years of being the destination for turkey in northern Michigan, our Ga***rd location is closing. Thank you, for helping us “keep going” through the pandemic.

Gobblers of Waters, MI will reopen April 14, 2022 and will remain open. The employees have been offered positions at our Water, MI location.

WHY?
-The government shutting down restaurants caused hard working employees to seek another professions. We need 15 full time employees in the front of house, we only have two left.
-I cannot let my children work 65-100+ hours a week again this summer to keep both Gobblers locations open and be effected physically, mentally, and in their family relationships.

WHY CLOSE GA***RD AND NOT WATERS?
-There still are 7 loyal employees left from Waters staff that worked in Ga***rd this winter to keep the location open.
-Waters is a newer and larger building, without the city problems. Higher turkey sales, lower operation cost, less stressful, and overall more efficient.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Be kind to our family and staff during this transition. We have entry level jobs available in Waters, come apply. Gobblers has helped build many great college students and focus them on their next stage in life.

After over owning 10 businesses in 50 years, this is a hard decision. It seems like I failed, but there is nothing more I can do and declare family is more important than money and close the Ga***rd location.
