Today we remember a true Smoky Mountain icon, Gordene Landreth, affectionately known by so many as "The Rose Lady." 🌹

For generations of visitors, a trip to the Smokies wasn't complete without seeing Gordene's warm smile and receiving one of her beautiful roses. Whether welcoming guests at The Peddler Steakhouse or later at The Park Grill, she had an incredible gift for making every person feel special. Her kindness, genuine conversations, and simple gesture of handing someone a rose created memories that families carried home long after their vacations ended.

Thousands of guests looked forward to seeing her year after year, and many returned just to say hello to the woman who had touched their lives with such grace and warmth. She showed us all that the smallest acts of kindness can leave the greatest impact. Anyone who had the privilege of meeting her, was truly blessed.

Thank you, Gordene, for sharing your kindness, your smile, and your roses with the world. Your legacy will continue to bloom in the countless lives you touched. You will never be forgotten.
