One of the most magical parts of visiting Gatlinburg is getting to share our mountain home with the local black bears. But being a good neighbor means doing our part to keep them safe and wild. 🏔️🐾

One of our favorite local traditions is spending a morning in the 8-Mile Arts & Crafts Community. Located just up the road from our lobby, this historic loop is home to over 100 artisans—from independent potters and weavers to silversmiths and soap makers.

The Local Secret: Skip the drive and hop on the Yellow Line Trolley right near the Lodge. It’s the most relaxing way to loop through the Glades, allowing you to window shop from the trolley and hop off whenever a gallery catches your eye. 🚌
