Located on a secluded peaceful river in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, within walking distance to area attractions and restaurants including Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort, The Peddler Steak House, the Park Grill, Bennett's Pit BBQ and much more. Riverhouse at the Park is uniquely located at the corner of River Rd. at the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This quiet riverfront site is within easy walking distance of Gatlinburg's finest restaurants and shopping areas, and it offers easy access to the National Park both by car and a scenic riverwalk hiking trail. Winter guests will find the Ski Resort just up the road and the aerial tram only a block away. The Gatlinburg Trolly stops at the motel on a regular schedule in the busy season. Riverhouse at the Park features large rooms, private balconies, whirlpool baths, native stone gas fireplaces, heated pool and a continental breakfast (orange juice, fresh made donuts, fresh ground coffee) served directly to your room. All floors are easily accessible by elevator. Parkview Rooms offer a fabulous view of the Little Pigeon River flowing out of the National Park and roaring over a dam.. Grand King Rooms feature elaborate king rooms beautifully decorated with bedroom and living room furnishings with private balconies, whirlpool baths, walk in showers and big screen TV's. Jacuzzi King Rooms are beautifully decorated rooms with a large 2-person Jacuzzi in the bedroom area. Motel Rooms are large rooms with 1 King or 2 Queen beds offering whirlpool baths, gas log fireplaces, dressing areas with plenty of storage, Flat Screen TV's, direct dial telephones, refrigerators and microwaves. Riverhouse Inn at the Park is locally owned by the same family who built the original Riverhouse Motorlodge in 1971. Riverhouse Inn at the Park has the same style of room decor, the same continental breakfast (with the famous and freshly made Riverhouse donuts!) delivered quickly to your room with a warm smile.

The original Riverhouse Motorlodge welcomed generations of families from 1971 to 2016; when it was destroyed by the devastating wildfires. Guests considered it their "home away from home" throughout those years. Visit the Remember the Riverhouse page to get a small taste of the sense of family, the valued traditions and the warm welcome that the Riverhouse Family was welcomed with during each stay. Riverhouse Motorlodge guests have kept it "in the family" and stay at Riverhouse Inn at the Park.

Spacious and clean rooms at Riverhouse At The Park. Plenty of space to spread out, get comfortable and enjoy your time staying at your "home away from home" in Gatlinburg. Comfortable beds, comfortable chairs, and a large balcony with chairs overlooking: River views, City views and Mountain views. Stone gas fireplaces that add coziness and a great atmosphere for the room. Sit and savor meals, play games, sip some beverages or whatever you enjoy doing at the "bistro style" set up with table and two chairs near the fireplace and in front of the large window that looks out on the balcony.

Free continental breakfast delivered to your room each morning. This includes: the famous Riverhouse fresh-made donuts (or toast), orange juice, and coffee (tea or cocoa). Plenty of room for getting ready on the extra long counter (with sink) at the back of the room area--separate from the bathroom with (yes) another sink. Plenty of storage and area to hang clothes, etc. Also, a small fridge and microwave.

Short walking distance to the main strip. Short drive to the Sugerlands Visitor Center or take the Gatlinburg Trail to enjoy a walk in nature to the Visitors Center. Close to restaurants and shopping. Also, the Gatliburg Trolley goes by for a ride.

The balconies are large and allow for plenty of times enjoying the sights and sounds of the river that flows out of the GSMNP and through Gatlinburg. There are also Gatlinburg city view rooms and GSMNP mountain view rooms for your enjoyment.

Generations of guests return to Riverhouse At The Park because they view it as their "home away from home". The Riverhouse Family of Guests enjoy the friendly welcome, the large, clean rooms, the amazing, fresh made Riverhouse donuts (with Continental Breakfast) delivered swiftly to their doors each morning; not to mention the closeness to shops and the Park.

This is NOT a generic "chain". Riverhouse At The Park was built in 1989 by Mr. Hugh Faust to be the sister property to Riverhouse Motorlodge (1972-2016). Generations stayed at the RHML until it was lost in the 2016 wildfires. Thankfully, Riverhouse At The Park sets and maintains the same high "home away from home" standards that originated at RHML.
