Y’all ever notice how Eastridge Mall feels… off?

Not dead mall off.
Not it’s just quiet off.

Like something is watching you off.

Here’s the story nobody likes talking about 👀

Back in the late ’90s—early 2000s, depending on who you ask—Eastridge reportedly stayed open well past posted hours for “inventory resets.” Employees swear they’d hear escalators running after closing… even though power to that wing was shut off.

Security cameras?
They’d glitch—but only near the old food court wing.

One overnight guard quit on the spot after reviewing footage that showed people walking the mall at 2:13 a.m. When he went to check in person:
No cars.
No lights.
No people.

That’s when things get weird.

Multiple former employees claim there’s a service hallway behind some of the closed stores that doesn’t match the mall’s blueprints. Extra space where there shouldn’t be any. Doors that don’t lead where they should. Hallways that feel longer leaving than entering.

One cleaner said she heard a child laughing near the old arcade—
The arcade had been closed for years.

Another said the bathroom mirrors near Sears would fog up with handprints too small to be adults… even with the AC blasting cold air.

And explain this:

Why do so many people say they walked in for one thing…
…and came out an hour later feeling disoriented?

No phone notifications.
No missed calls.
Just that uneasy feeling like you forgot something important.

Employees call it “the loop.”

Customers just say:
“I don’t like that mall.”

And here’s the strangest part.

Every time someone brings this up online—
posts disappear.
comments get deleted.
people say you’re “reaching.”

But if it’s all fake…

why does everyone have a story?

Next time you’re at Eastridge, pay attention:
• escalators moving with no one on them
• lights flickering in closed stores
• that feeling like you’re being rushed to leave

And whatever you do…

Don’t take the shortcut hallway.
