I have a bun coffee brewer, air pots, two Espresso Machines, an icemaker, a double door under counter refrigerator, a Square POS system, multiple shelving units, disposable cup and lid holders, a standard size fridge and freezer combo, an employee break room table with two chairs, residential size trash dumpsters, utility carts and more!

Loonnng Post 😔

This is one of the most difficult posts I’ve made as an owner..but I’ve always been transparent. I’m sad. I feel defeated. I’m embarrassed.

The Grind is leaving Glenbrook Mall. 🫣I took a chance on this location because I thought it would work.

The traffic hasn't supported the cost of being there. Sales haven't supported the overhead. I stayed too long.

There were also expectations and conversations going into this that played a big part in my decision to take on this new location. Unfortunately..some of those things weren't honored in the way I understood they would be and that's a hard lesson to learn. However..my name is on my business, and I have to own my decisions too.

This location has financially drained me. I would rather admit that this location didn't work than continue bleeding the business I've spent years building.

The last three years of my life have come with so much financial burden outside of this business. I’ve paid attorney fees through almost a three year divorce, criminal and civil litigation, and the expense of being pulled into litigation surrounding someone else’s divorce. Those bills don’t magically disappear because I own a business. They have affected me significantly. That isn’t an excuse and I’m not asking anyone to feel sorry for me. I’m not going to pretend my business has existed in a bubble while the rest of my life has been going on. I’ve been trying to keep my business running, keep my staff employed, take care of my family, and pay a large amount of money in legal expenses at the same time.

I'm sorry this location didn't become what I thought it would. But I'm not sorry I tried.

Whatever door I open next you better believe I'll be getting it alllllllll in writing. 😉☕️
