On Cook-off Day, we were delighted to witness the delectable creations of our participants. Each cake was a masterpiece, showcasing the exceptional culinary skills of our staff. Alison R. emerged victorious with her Chocolate Layer Cake, which was unanimously acclaimed as the most exquisite dessert.

In addition to the cook-off, we organized a turkey hunt for the ladies, providing them with an enjoyable and engaging activity.
Congrats Chelsy & Dawn. Furthermore, we have observed a positive trend in students making healthier lunch choices.

Cute story, have to share, so each day at breakfast I sing a cute little jingle to go with what I am serving for the day. So one day I asked all the students in my line to join in with my jingle and they did ❤️ it was fantastic. Well, I have not come up with a jingle for days now, (thinking I may annoy some of them) but some of the students have asked daily what song I am going to sing today lol. So I ask them to come up with a little jingle for me. Today, two little girls that were inquiring about a song the prior day did just that -each holding a piece of paper to hand me, came up with a jingle of their own for me. And to top it off, they wrote it out for me. I did not, however, at the time have my glasses to decipher the lyrics and they did not ask me to sing it, (even though I will try to make something out of it for tomorrow) but this is my job, and I love these Ober students.

Hey there! Just wanted to share that the Gkb cafeteria staff had a fun cook-off challenge for the start of the 2025-26 school year, and guess what? Amanda rocked it with her TIK TOK viral spaghetti! 😋 Out of all the amazing 8 entrees, she snagged the win. Thank you Alison, Sheila, Philippe, Beth, Nancy, Missy & Marie for sharing your dishes with all of us.

In response to inquiries regarding the recent recall of Corn Dog/Pancake-sausage wraps, we would like to clarify that our breakfast and lunch program does not utilize Hillshire brand products, including State Fair and Jimmy Dean. The products we serve are sourced from Gordon’s Choice and Foster Farms.

We emphasize that the well-being of our students is our utmost priority, and we will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure their safety and satisfaction.
