Brewing in a renovated dairy barn, we brew American-style farmhouse ales with German, English and Belgian influences. Water is taken from our own springs and lends to our signature flavor. Our beer is made with natural ingredients and no pretense. We've been known to throw in a few spices or fruits into our beer. Our most popular beer, Pork Slap Pale Ale is sweet and malty, brewed with fresh ginge

r root. Heinnieweisse is a German-style weissebier with tart citrus and banana notes. For all our hopheads, Snapperhead is an American IPA with light spicy and earthy hop flavors. And don't forget about Moo Thunder American Stout with its espresso, dark chocolate, smoky flavor. We change up the beer on draft pretty regularly, so stop by often. You can sample all our year-round brews, plus any specialty styles we have on draft. Take a tour of our brewery and learn about the brewing process, ingredients and history. Our beer is available for sale in 6-packs or cases and don't forget to bring your growler.

Well the season is upon us at the brewery for us to wind down our retail room. Thank you to everyone who stopped in this year! We are very appreciative of all your support at our retail room, in the market or when you just want to say hello. Enjoy the fall weather!

We will be closed for retail sales until spring. We will let you know when that will be when the time comes.

Cheers to a great season! This Saturday will be our official last day for our retail room. Come on by and raise a pint to celebrate all of the good times this season. The local road on Rt 51 is open so any direction you approach the brewery will be good. Hope to see you then!

Hello all. The bridge on Rt 51 just next to the brewery is being replaced. The through road for Rt 51 will be closed a few weeks. To get to Butternuts Beer -
-Going South on Rt 51 -headed out of Garrattsville you will need to take the detour.
-Going North on Rt 51 headed out of Morris or taking the turn onto Rt 51 from Rt 12 you will be able to drive on Rt 51 to the brewery. We are the last location before the bridge closure.

However fun you may imagine it to be we very highly recommend Not attempting a Duke’s of Hazard jump across the closed roadway (for those of you who know even what I’m talking about😎)

Butternuts Beer & Ale would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy Labor Day! We hope this year has been more progressive for you and hope you have been able to enjoy all your blessings. Thank you to everyone who supported us this year with our limited tap room hours! It has been a great pleasure for us to be able to meet in person and serve our beers and express our excitement for our craft. It would not be possible without you and we want you to know how much that means to us! As the summer unwinds and fall comes upon us we are reducing our tap room hours through September.

The current taproom hours will be Saturday 1-6 pm.

If you haven't seen the new Burning Banjo brand it's time to stop by! This Strawberry Rhubarb is our summer seasonal. 10 pounds of Strawberry per barrel and fresh rhubarb from Grandma Murdock's garden combines with our Saison recipe to produce a beer that is fruity, tart, light bodied and dry. Stop in at the Tap room this weekend and try it!
