COMRADES, AUXILIARY AND FRIENDS OF THE IOWA VFW!

Thank you to all of you that reached out to Congresswoman Hinson, Rep. Miller-Meeks, Congressman Nunn and Rep. Feenstra this past week to share your thoughts on H.R. 9237 Take Care of America's Veterans Act.

It was a roller coaster of events in the House chamber that ended with the bill being pulled to be reintroduced at a later time.

We won this battle but the war is far from over.

Watch for more updates and improved messaging as we move forward.

🥇 Grand Champion – $500 Cash Prize
🥈 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-Place plaques will also be awarded.

After the judging, all of the smoked meat will be served for dinner at the VFW, so even if you're not competing, come hungry!

Our National Legislative Committee has identified these two members as being on the fence supporting TCAVA.

Your Department Leadership have been and are on calls and meeting with our Legislative delegation - WE NEED YOUR HELP!

TCAVA has many terrific and long overdue bills in it. Most should've passed as stand alone bills.
Our primary issue with TCAVA is the funding mechanism!
WE DON'T CHARGE FUTURE VETERANS TO OFFSET OTHER BENEFITS! DON'T PASS WITH SEC. 108 IN THE BILL. FIND ANOTHER WAY TO PAY FOR THIS BILL.
