New chef. New stack. Very old recipe inspiration.
This week we’re serving up a Wojapi Shortstack (wo-ZHA-pee), topped with a seasonal blueberry and blackberry wojapi.
It’s also the first Stack of the Week from our new chef, Tyler, who chose a dish inspired by his family heritage.
A Bite of History: Wojapi is a traditional berry sauce originating with the Dakota and Lakota peoples of the Northern Plains, historically made with tart fruits like chokecherries. Our version blends blueberries and blackberries for a naturally sweeter twist.
Sweet, a little tart, and stacked high—which is pretty much how we like things here in Minnesota.
